Art Curator AR

A multi-platform AR application I worked on during my time as a Mixed Reality Developer for the Soft Interaction Lab at Texas A&M University. The primary goal of this application was to allow artists to create art exhibits that people could experience purely digitally.

My Contributions

There were two planned parts to the project: a mobile app for smart phones, and an app for the Hololens 2. I was the programming lead for the mobile app. I laid out the underlying structure of the program, set up the core AR functionality, and programmed the implementation of Microsoft Azure Spatial Anchors and a Google Firebase backend.

 

I used the REST API for most of the database interaction, so I had to manually handle authenticating with Google’s servers using OAuth 2.0.
